Opening Cermony Of The CSET Seed Processing Factory

CSET Seed Production Company has conducted two events and both happened at the same day – 24/06/2020. The first event, the company has collected together its out growers at the center of CSET Seed Processing factory where they were explained how the seed is processed and packaged by the company. The second event happened one hour after the first event. This event was concerning opening ceremony of the seed processing factory.

EVENT ONE

The company has invited 50 farmers among its out growers to the event which took place at the center of CSET Seed Processing factory where they were explained how the seed is processed and packaged by the company. During the event farmers were visiting in company’s sectors to know what is going in the company. Farmers satisfied the company’s products and also appreciated our team for availability of quality seeds. Finally, the CEO encouraged farmers to get access all agricultural inputs in the company as well as the agricultural consulting. He also told the farmers that the company stands for development and enhancement of agricultural production and priority will be given to small farmers. The company works with farmers to increase farmers’ use of quality seed and planting material of well-adapted varieties, particularly for the rural dwelling resource poor small-scale and family farmers who produce most of the food consumed in vulnerable communities of developing countries.

EVENT TWO

The company has succeeded to open the first seed processing factory in Baidoa, Southwest State. This plant is part of the company’s plan for agricultural development. The opening ceremony was attended by leaders from the Ministries of the Southwest State, Bay Region Administration, International and local Organizations and Agricultural Communities, such as agricultural cooperatives. All guests and participants welcomed the progress of the new forward taken by the CSET because since the collapse of middle government, farmers have been facing with many of crop challenges. Since the company’s establishment, it has been working to improve overall agricultural production in collaboration with federal and state agricultural ministries and agricultural development agencies such as GEEL. The seeds of Somalia have been being developed in quantity and quality by CSET Seed Production Company. Now, it is clear the development because some farmers in Baidoa who bought seeds from the company told us that our seeds are better than the ones they use before.
