
Somali Agri-Industry Federation Cooperatives (SAIFCO)
Somali Agri-Industry Federation Cooperatives (SAIFCO) is a federation agricultural cooperative owned by its members, based its operational office in Baidoa and has sub offices in Mogadishu, Afgoe and Marka. Since SAIFCO was founded on 24 March 2020, and it is a strong and well managed cooperative that serves as a focal point for its cooperative members and the wider community. Since its inception, SAIFCO has been committed to providing a range of innovative, results-oriented, and cost-effective services to cooperatives and related organizations. Drawing on the skills and expertise of an experienced and knowledgeable staff, SAIFCO has participated in the development, restructuring, and expansion of over 3,119 individual (farmers) among 45 cooperatives. SAIFCO emphasize its role in sensitizing and mobilizing Agriculture actors around development issues and providing an autonomous platform for discussion on Agriculture development areas. It is through these roles that it might potentially help members to build coalitions and partnerships.
The SAIFCO has been formed by a group of professionals having experience and wide exposure in agriculture production together with an objective of providing appropriate business solutions. It realizes the importance of functional knowledge and its impact in developing business solutions. it constantly strive to be a leading cooperative in the agriculture sector with profound business and functional knowledge.ย The key to the SAIFCO’s success is the maintenance of a close working relationship with the agricultural cooperatives through ensuring the best possible solutions to their needs; to establish and maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of member’s objective.
